Annual Safe Driving Awareness Scholarship

Distracted driving has become a serious and growing threat on our roads, endangering countless lives each year. In California, 40% of drivers admit to checking their phones while behind the wheel, and driver inattention is estimated to play a role in up to 80% of all motor vehicle accidents. Nationwide, nearly 3,000 Americans lose their lives each year in distracted driving crashes. At Avaness Law, we recognize the devastating impact that risky driving behaviors have on families across California, and we are committed to making our roads safer for everyone.

To help promote awareness of safe driving practices, Avaness Law is proud to offer a $1,000 scholarship to students who are passionate about advocating for distraction-free driving. We encourage applicants to share their ideas on safe driving awareness and submit creative projects — whether through poems, essays, posters, videos, or images — that highlight the importance of staying focused behind the wheel. Through this scholarship, we hope to inspire change and encourage everyone to take steps toward safer roads in California and beyond.
